This stunning dramatic item is a brand new retail packaged, well crafted Cross Fitchy pendant, beautiful in it's simplicity and elegance, created from the finest high-quality Nickel-free pewter complete with a red acrylic stone inset in the centre. It comes ready to wear on an adjustable cord (approx 14" to 30" long) although it would look fine on your own favourite chain. The pendant is 59mm high (including loop) and 32mm wide - so just over 2" high by 1" wide. The Cross Fitchy originated as a cross with a pointed bottom as it was designed for use by travelling Crusaders. Because its shape resembles a sword, it became an apt symbol of the Crusader's faith, and their willingness to use force in its cause. It also bears a strong resemblance to the Cross of St James and Cross of the Order of Santiago because of the Fleur de Lis shapes to the arms. A delightful and elegant piece of jewellery.
